“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that if two sons of any Muslim die and he considers it a decision of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, as such and obediently agrees, they (his sons) will protect him against fire by the permission of Allah, most High.”

spoke to him one who had heard from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever suppressess his anger that he could let out if he wanted, Allah, on the Day of Judgment, will fill his heart with His happiness.’”

abu ‘Abd al-Rahman from abu Basir who has said the following: “I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘When Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, loves a servant, He takes away the soul of his most beloved son to Himself.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the souls (spirits) with the quality of body are in a tree in paradise where they get to know each other and ask questions. Whenever a new coming soul (spirit) joins them, they say, ‘Leave him alone. He has just experienced a huge terrifying experience.’ Then they ask him, ‘What is so and so and so and so doing?’ If he says, ‘I left him in his lifetime,’ they wish the best for him; but if he says, ‘He died’, they say, ‘He then has fallen into the deep (hell).”’

Whoever fasts one day in the beginning, middle, or end of Rajab, he will be forgiven of his past sins. Whoever fasts three days in the beginning, three days in the middle, and three days in the end, he will be forgiven of his past and future sins. Whoever keeps vigil for one night in Rajab, Allah will free him from the Fire and accept his intercession for seventy thousand sinners. Whoever gives in charity in Rajab, seeking Allah’s face, Allah will reward him in Paradise with that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has imagined.

The first to enter upon you at this hour is a man from the people of Paradise. When they heard that, some of them stood up and left, and each one of them wanted to return that he might be the first to enter, by which Paradise would become obligatory for him. Then the Prophet, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, knew that of them, and so he said to those who remained with him, of his companions: Indeed, it will enter into you a group who will race (into here). The one who gives me glad tidings for the coming of March, Paradise is for him. Then the people returned and entered, and with them was Abu Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him, so he said to them: In which month of the Roman months are we now in? Then Abu Dharr said: March has come, O Messenger of Allah. Then he, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: I know that, O Abu Dharr, however, I wanted to teach my people that you are a man from the people of Paradise. And how is that not so? When you will be the one expelled from my sanctuary after me due to your love for my Household, and you will live alone and die alone, and a people who will deal with your preparation and burial will rejoice for you. Those are my friends in the Paradise of Eternity that has been promised to the godfearing.

“Whatever Ali (a.s.) has brought I follow them entirely and whatever he has forbidden I desist from them altogether. It flows for him from the merits like what flowed for Muhammad (sw), and for Muhammad (sw) is the merit upon the entirety of the creatures of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. The pursuer upon him (Imam Ali) regarding something from his decisions is like the pursuer upon Allah and upon His Messenger, and the rejecter upon him regarding a small or a big (matter), would be within the limits of Shirk (Association) with Allah.
Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) was the gate to Allah through which one could only go closer to Him, and he was the path that if one would ignore it he would have been destroyed. This is also true of all the Imams of guidance, one after the other. Allah has made them as the cornerstones of the earth so that its inhabitants would not be destroyed, and His possessors of doubtless Divine authority over the inhabitants of earth and those below the earth. Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) would very often say, “I am Allah's distributor between Paradise and Hellfire, and I am the greatest criterion, and I am the possessor of the Staff and the (marking) seal Miysam. All the angels, the Spirit, and the messengers have acknowledged me, like what they acknowledged Muhammad (sw) with, and I am loaded upon like his load, and it is the load of the Lord.
The Messenger of Allah (sw) will be called upon and his call will be accepted. I will be called up on and my call will be accepted. He will be made to speak and I will be made to speak and I will speak just the way he would speak. I have been given certain distinctions which were not given to anyone before me. I was taught all about the deaths, the sufferings, the genealogy of people and the decisive sermons. I have not missed any of the knowledge that have passed me by and nothing of the future is unseen or unknown to me. I give good news by the permission of Allah and do my duty towards Allah. All of this is from Allah Who has made it possible for me through His knowledge.”
Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ari has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Jumhur al-‘Ammi from Muhammad ibn Sinan who has said that al-Mufaddal narrated to us from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.). He then narrated the above Hadith.
