hadith 1730
5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who said
‘Breastfeeding does not bring unlawfulness unless it grows flesh and blood.’”
5- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لا يُحَرِّمُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعِ إِلا مَا أَنْبَتَ اللَّحْمَ وَالدَّمَ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from al-Fadl ibn ‘ Abd al-Malik who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Breastfeeding is effective before completion of two years of a child before weaning him.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الرَّضَاعُ قَبْلَ الْحَوْلَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفْطَمَ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Breastfeeding after weaning is not effective.’ I then said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what is al-Fatam (weaning)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is the two years that Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has mentioned (in His book).’ (2:233)”
3- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لا رَضَاعَ بَعْدَ فِطَامٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ وَمَا الْفِطَامُ قَالَ الْحَوْلانِ اللَّذَانِ قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَ‏.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who has two women, each of whom gives birth; and he divorces one of the two who has breastfed a girl of the people; if the son of this man can marry that girl. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, because she has given milk from the milk of the shaykh (man of the family).”’
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ كَانَ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ فَوَلَدَتْ كُلُّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُمَا غُلاماً فَانْطَلَقَتْ إِحْدَى امْرَأَتَيْهِ فَأَرْضَعَتْ جَارِيَةً مِنْ عُرْضِ النَّاسِ أَيَنْبَغِي لابْنِهِ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ بِهَذِهِ الْجَارِيَةِ قَالَ لا لأنَّهَا أُرْضِعَتْ بِلَبَنِ الشَّيْخِ.

4. Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from those who narrated to him who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘The daughter of Hamzah was proposed to the Messenger of Allah (saww) for marriage and he (the Messenger of Allah) said, “Did you not know that she is a daughter of my brother because of breastfeeding?'"
4- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَرَضْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) ابْنَةَ حَمْزَةَ فَقَالَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعِ.

4. Humayd ibn Ziyad al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if it is proper to hire a Jewish or a Christian or a pagan woman for breastfeeding. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful but do not allow them to drink wine.’”
حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) هَلْ يَصْلُحُ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ تُرْضِعَ لَهُ الْيَهُودِيَّةُ وَ النَّصْرَانِيَّةُ وَ الْمُشْرِكَةُ قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ وَ قَالَ امْنَعُوهُنَّ مِنْ شُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ .
