5. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama’a who has said the following
“I heard abu al-Hassan Musa saying, ‘Keep your decorum intact between yourself and your brother (friend) and preserve it; removal is the elimination of bashfulness.’”
5ـ وَعَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لا تُذْهِبِ الْحِشْمَةَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ أَخِيكَ أَبْقِ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّ ذَهَابَهَا ذَهَابُ الْحَيَاءِ.

11. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Kufiy from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sa‘id ibn Yasar who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘There is no Taqiyah (maintaining caution because of fear) in the case of al-Nabidh (wine).”’
أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْكُوفِيِّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) لَيْسَ فِي شُرْبِ النَّبِيذِ تَقِيَّةٌ .

أَكْلُ الطِّينِ يُورِثُ النِّفَاقَ .

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Something that causes public abhorrence is in the fire, regardless of being good or bad.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
الشُّهْرَةُ خَيْرُهَا وَ شَرُّهَا فِي النَّارِ .

Hadith.3115 - Ja'far ibn Muhammad Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said
"During the days of the Hajj season, Allah (swt), Blessed and Exalted, sends angels in the form of humans to purchase the goods of the pilgrims and merchants." It was asked: "What do they do with these goods?" Imam (as) replied: "They cast them into the sea." It is narrated from Muhammad ibn Uthman al-Umari (may Allah (swt) be pleased with him) that he said: "By Allah (swt), the Master of this Affair (Imam Al-Mahdi {ajf}, peace be upon him) attends the Hajj season every year. He sees the people, knows them, and they see him but do not recognize him." It is also narrated from Abdullah ibn Ja'far al-Himyari, who said: "I asked Muhammad ibn Uthman al-Umari (may Allah (swt) be pleased with him), 'Have you seen the Master of this Affair?' He replied: 'Yes, and my last encounter with him was at the Sacred House of Allah (swt), as he was saying: O Allah (swt), fulfill for me what You have promised me.'" Muhammad ibn Uthman (may Allah (swt) be pleased with him and may Allah (swt) bless him) further said: "I saw Him {ajf} clinging to the curtains of the Kaaba at Al-Multazam, saying: O Allah (swt), take vengeance for me against Your enemies."
3115 - وَ قَالَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ اَلصَّادِقُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : «إِذَا
كَانَ أَيَّامُ اَلْمَوْسِمِ بَعَثَ اَللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ اَللَّهُ تَعَالَى مَلاَئِكَةً فِي صُوَرِ اَلْآدَمِيِّينَ يَشْتَرُونَ مَتَاعَ اَلْحَاجِّ وَ اَلتُّجَّارِ» قِيلَ مَا يَصْنَعُونَ بِهِ قَالَ «يُلْقُونَهُ فِي اَلْبَحْرِ ». وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ اَلْعَمْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَ اَللَّهِ إِنَّ صَاحِبَ هَذَا اَلْأَمْرِ لَيَحْضُرُ اَلْمَوْسِمَ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ يَرَى اَلنَّاسَ وَ يَعْرِفُهُمْ وَ يَرَوْنَهُ وَ لاَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ. رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ اَلْحِمْيَرِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ اَلْعَمْرِيَّ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ رَأَيْتَ صَاحِبَ هَذَا اَلْأَمْرِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَ آخِرُ عَهْدِي بِهِ عِنْدَ بَيْتِ اَللَّهِ اَلْحَرَامِ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ « اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِزْ لِي مَا وَعَدْتَنِي». قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَ أَرْضَاهُ: وَ رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَوَاتُ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ مُتَعَلِّقاً بِأَسْتَارِ اَلْكَعْبَةِ فِي اَلْمُسْتَجَارِ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ: « اَللَّهُمَّ اِنْتَقِمْ لِي مِنْ أَعْدَائِكَ ».

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about performing Salat (prayer) in complete form and fasting in the two al-Haram (the sacred places); Masjid al-Haram and Masjid of al-Madinah. He (the Imam) said, ‘You should perform Salat (prayer) in complete form, even if it is one Salat (prayer).”’
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنْ إِتْمَامِ الصَّلاةِ وَالصِّيَامِ فِي الْحَرَمَيْنِ فَقَالَ أَتِمَّهَا وَلَوْ صَلاةً وَاحِدَةً.

Hadith.5295 - It is narrated by Uthman ibn Isa from Sama'ah from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) who said
I asked Imam (as) about the fingers - whether some of them have more value over others in terms of blood money (diyyah). Imam (as) replied: "They are all equal in blood money (diyyah)."
5295 - رَوَى عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلْأَصَابِعِ هَلْ لِبَعْضِهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ فَضْلٌ فِي اَلدِّيَةِ قَالَ "هُنَّ سَوَاءٌ فِي اَلدِّيَةِ".

4. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa who has said the following
“Once I was in the presence of abu al-Hassan (a.s.) and a man said, ‘Please teach me good advice.’ The Imam said, ‘Control your tongue and you will be respected and do not allow people to lead you to humiliation.’”
4ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى قَالَ
حَضَرْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ صَلَوَاتُ الله عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَوْصِنِي فَقَالَ لَهُ احْفَظْ لِسَانَكَ تُعَزَّ وَلا تُمَكِّنِ النَّاسَ مِنْ قِيَادِكَ فَتُذِلَّ رَقَبَتَكَ‏.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman, from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“The Messenger of Allah (sw) was a father of daughters.”

2. Ahmad ibn al-Hajjal has narrated from Ghalib ibn ‘Uthman from “Uqbah ibn Khalid who has said the following
“I once went to see abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and he (the Imam) came to me saying, ‘O ‘Uqbah, the women held us back from meeting you.”’
2- أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ غَالِبِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ
أَتَيْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَخَرَجَ إِلَيَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا عُقْبَةُ شَغَلَتْنَا عَنْكَ هَؤُلاءِ النِّسَاءُ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is undesirable to perform Salah (prayer) in clothes dyed with sharply saturated colors.”’
22ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
تُكْرَهُ الصَّلاَةُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْمَصْبُوغِ الْمُشْبَعِ الْمُفْدَمِ.

2. Muhammad has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Misma’ who has said the following

أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ إِبْرَادُ كَبِدٍ حَرَّى.

70. My father, may Allah grant him mercy, said: We were told by Sa’d bin Abdullah, from Salama bin Khattab, from Hasan ibn Yusuf, from Saleh bin ‘Uqba, from Abu’l-Hasan, Musa, peace be upon him, that he said
People are (of) three (types): An Arab, a convert [1] and a disbeliever [2]. As for the Arabs, they are us. As for the convert, it is the one who befriends us. As for the disbeliever, it is the one who dissociates from us and is hostile to us.
وبهذا الاسناد، عن الحسن بن يوسف، عن عثمان بن جبلة، عن ضريس ابن عبد الملك قال
سمعت أبا عبد الله عليه السلام يقول: نحن قريش، وشيعتنا العرب، وعدونا العجم.

Hadith.1125 - It is narrated from him by Hammad ibn Uthman that Imam (as) said
"Whoever prays with them in the first row, it is as if he prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (sw) in the first row”.
1125 - وَ رَوَى عَنْهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَهُمْ فِي اَلصَّفِّ اَلْأَوَّلِ كَانَ كَمَنْ صَلَّى خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ فِي اَلصَّفِّ اَلْأَوَّلِ.

H 330 - A number of scholars narrated to me on the authority of Muhammad bin Ali bin Husain that he said: Narrated to us my father and Muhammad bin Hasan and Muhammad bin Musa Mutawakkil from Abdullah Ibn Ja’far Himyari that
I asked Muhammad Ibn Uthman (a.s): “Have you seen the Master of this Affair?” “Yes,” he said: “and the last time was at the Sacred House of God as he was saying: O Allah, fulfill for me what You promised.” He said: “I saw him, Divine bliss be for him, clinging to the curtains of the Kaaba at the spout (Mustajaar) as he was saying, O Allah, avenge Your enemies through me.”
330- وأخبرني جماعة، عن محمد بن علي بن الحسين قال:أخبرنا أبي ومحمد بن الحسن ومحمد بن موسى بن المتوكل، عن عبد الله بن جعفر الحميري
أنه قال: سألت محمد بن عثمان رضي الله عنه فقلت له:رأيت صاحب هذا الامر؟ قال: نعم، وآخر عهدي به عند بيت الله الحرام وهو عليه السلام يقول: اللهم أنجز لي ما وعدتني. قال محمد بن عثمان رضي الله عنه: ورأيته صلوات الله عليه متعلقا بأستار الكعبة في المستجار وهو يقول: اللهم انتقم لي من أعدائك.

15. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Abdallah ibn Sulayman who has said the following.
‘(Imam) abu Ja‘far (a.s.) said to a man from Basra called ‘Uthman al-A’ma who would keep saying, “Al-Hassan al-Basri believes that those who hide knowledge the bad odor from their stomach will cause suffering to the people of hell.” The Imam said, “The true believer of the people of Pharaoh is then destroyed. Knowledge from the time of Noah became veiled (s.a). Let Hassan go left and right. I swear by Allah he will not find knowledge in no other place but here with us.”
15ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ وَعِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ عُثْمَانُ الاعْمَى وَهُوَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ الْبَصْرِيَّ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ الْعِلْمَ يُؤْذِي رِيحُ بُطُونِهِمْ أَهْلَ النَّارِ فَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَهَلَكَ إِذَنْ مُؤْمِنُ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ مَا زَالَ الْعِلْمُ مَكْتُوماً مُنْذُ بَعَثَ الله نُوحاً (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَلْيَذْهَبِ الْحَسَنُ يَمِيناً وَشِمَالاً فَوَ الله مَا يُوجَدُ الْعِلْمُ إِلا هَاهُنَا.

H 329 - Abu Ja’far Ibn Babawayh says: Muhammad Ibn Uthman Amari narrated that by Allah, the Master of this Affair attends the Hajj every year; he sees the people and knows them and they also see him, but don’t recognize him.
329- قال أبوجعفر بن بابويه روي(عن) محمد بن عثمان العمري قدس سره
أنه قال: والله إن صاحب هذا الامر ليحضر الموسم كل سنة يرى الناس ويعرفهم ويرونه ولا يعرفونه.

6. Ali has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman from Hariz from those who he has mentioned who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘Accompany someone like yourself. Do not accompany one who suffices you; it is humiliation for a believing person.’”
6ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
إِذَا صَحِبْتَ فَاصْحَبْ نَحْوَكَ وَلا تَصْحَبَنَّ مَنْ يَكْفِيكَ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مَذَلَّةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ.

12. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Harun ibn Kharijah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“It is of humility to offer the greeting of peace to whomever you meet.”
12ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ خَارِجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مِنَ التَّوَاضُعِ أَنْ تُسَلِّمَ عَلَى مَنْ لَقِيتَ.
