Prophet (s) said: The love for Ali bin Abi Talib consumes the evil deeds in the same way as fire consumes wood.

Commander of the Faithful (AS) was asked: “Shall we not guard you?” He (AS) said: “The guardian of every man is his death.”

Ali ibn Abi Talib (s) said, “It is written in Assyrian on the wings of all hoopoes that are created, ‘The Household of Muhammad are the best of the people.’”

The peace is from the Lord of all the worlds upon Muhammed and his Family, Allah’s blessings be upon him and upon, and peace is for those who befriend them in the Resurrection.

God’s Prophet (s) said, “There are four groups on whose behalf I will intercede on the Resurrection Day: those who honor the members of my Household after me; those who fulfill their needs; those who try to assist my Family in times of need; and those who love them both wholeheartedly and verbally.”

A servant cannot act or move unless the ability to act is given to him by Allah, the Mighty and High. Verily, the legal capacity [taklif] from Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has occurred after the capability. Thus, no one has legal capacity except the capable.

“No.” It was asked from him, “Then, is it bestowed by Allah, the Mighty and High?” He replied, “The servants do not have a part in it. The only things they obtain are their actions.” Then he added, “The actions of the servants are created with decreed creation, and not with constitutional creation. In other word, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has always been All-Knowing of their decrees, even before their creation.”

“O Commander of the Faithful! Do you not fear anything at this point?” He (AS) replied, And what should I fear? There is no anyone except that with him are two angels assigned to him so that he does not fall into a well or an animal does not hit him or he may not fall from a mountain until the decree comes for him. When that which is decreed comes, they vacate from between him and the decreed.

Abu Muhammad Ubayd Allah bin Yahya bin Abdul-Baqi al-Adni in Adna informed us, saying: Ali bin al-Hasan al-Ma'ani informed us, saying: Abdullah bin Yazid informed us, from Yahya bin Uqba bin Abi al-'Aizar, who said: Muhammad bin Hajar informed us, from Yazid bin al-Asam, who said:
A man asked Umar ibn al-Khattab: "O Commander of the Faithful, what is the interpretation of 'Subhan Allah'?" Umar replied: "In this wall, there is a man who, when asked, informs, and when left silent, he begins (to speak)." The man entered, and it was Ali ibn Abi Talib (as). So he asked: "O Abu al-Hasan, what is the interpretation of 'Subhan Allah'?" Ali replied: "It is the glorification of the majesty of Allah Almighty and the declaration of His transcendence above what any polytheist has said about Him. When a servant says it, every angel prays for him."

A man asked `Umar ibn al-Khattab, “O Commander of the Faithful! What is the meaning of `Glory be to Allah’ [subhan Allah]?” He replied, “Verily, there is a man within these walls who informs when asked, and informs when there is silence.” So the man entered and it was `Ali ibn Abu Talib (AS); hence, he asked, “O Father of Hasan! What is the meaning of `Glory be to Allah’?” He (AS) answered, “It is revering the Glory of Allah, the Mighty and High, and the negation of whatever every polytheist attributes to Him. Therefore, when a servant says this, all the angels bless him.”

8. `Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn `Abd al-Walid said: Ahmad ibn al-Fadl ibn al-Mughirah said: Abu Nasr Mansur ibn `Abd Allah ibn Ibrahim al-Isfahani said: `Ali ibn `Abd Allah said: al-Husayn ibn Bashshar, that I asked Abu al-Hasan `Ali ibn Musa al-Rida (AS): “Does Allah know the things which have not occurred that if they did occur how would they be or He does not?” He (AS) said: Verily, Allah, the Exalted be He, is aware of all things even before they come into existence. Allah, the Mighty and High, says: Surely, We wrote what you did,1 and He says to the people going to the Hell: And if they were sent back, they would certainly go back to that which they are forbidden, and most surely the are liars.2 Hence, Allah the Mighty and High, knew that if He sent them back, they would certainly go back to what they were forbidden. And he said to the angels when they said: What! Wilt Thou place in it such as shall make mischief in it and shed blood, and we celebrate Thy praise and extol Thy holiness? He said: Surely, I know what you do not know.3 Therefore, the Knowledge of Allah, the Mighty and High, is eternal, and embraces all things even before they are created. Blessed be our Lord, the Exalted, the Elevated, and the Great, who created things and had knowledge of them prior to their creation. Verily, our Lord has always been All-Knowing, All-Hearing, and All-Seeing.

…For We were wont to put on Record all that ye did.’ God also said the following about the People of Hell, ‘…But if they were returned, they would certainly relapse to the things they were forbidden, for they are indeed liars.’ Thus God knows that if they are brought back to this world, they would go back and do what they had done before. Also when the angels said, ‘…Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood? whilst we do celebrate Thy Praises and glorify Thy Holy (Name)? ’ God replied, ‘I know what ye know not.’ Therefore, the Honorable the Exalted God always knows about things before creating them. Therefore, Blessed is our Lord. High indeed is HeExalted. He is High and Great. He has created things, and knew about them before they were created, just as He willed. Thus is our Lord! He is the All-Knowing, All-Hearing and All-Seeing.

when a man came and asked him: "O Allah’s Messenger, Allah says: ’Eblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you one of those who are exalted?’ (38:75) Who are those exalted ones whose ranks are higher than the angels’?" The Prophet (s) answered: Those are Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, al-Hussein, and I. We were in the pavilion of the Divine Throne praising Allah. The angels were imitating us. That was two thousand years before the creation of Adam. When He created Adam, Allah, Powerful and Exalted is He, ordered the angels to prostrate themselves before him. Allah did not include us in this order. All of the angels therefore prostrated except Eblis who rejected to prostrate. Referring to the five individuals whose names are recorded on the pavilion of the Divine Throne, Allah said to Eblis, ’Was it because of your pride or are you one of those who are exalted?’ Thus, we are the doors that take to Allah. We guide the followers of the right path. For him whoever loves us, Allah will love him and house him in His Paradise. For him who hates us, Allah will hate him and house him in Hell. Only do the legitimate sons love us.

An Arabian stood on the Day of Jamal up to the Commander of the Believers, peace be upon him, and said: O Commander of the Believers, do you say that Allah is One? Then the people charged upon him and said: O Arabian, do you not see what the Commander of the Believers, peace be upon him, is in of distress of the heart? Then the Commander of the Believers, peace be upon him, said: Leave him, for indeed, what the Arabian wants is (the same as) what we want from the people (whom we are combating). Then he said: O Arabian, verily, the saying that Allah is One, is upon four indications; two which are not possible upon Allah, Glorious and Exalted is He, and two which are confirmed in Him. As for the two that are not possible upon Him, it is the saying of the sayer that He is One whilst intending with it a number; this is what is not possible, because that which has no second does not enter into the realm of numbers. Do you not see that he has disbelieved, he who said: «The Third among Three»? As well as the saying of the sayer: «He is one among the people», whilst intending to distinguish species from genus? This is what is not possible, because it is anthropomorphism, and our Lord is Glorified and Exalted from being that. As for the two indications that are confirmed in Him, it is the saying of the sayer: «He is One with no similar among things», that is our Lord, as well as the saying of the sayer: «He is Exalted and Glorious, One and Only in meaning», by which he means that He is not divided in (the realm of) existence, nor intellect nor imagination. That is our Lord, Exalted and Glorious is He.

I, by Allah, love you as well as your smells and souls. Hence, help us keep on so by means of your piety and diligence. You should know that the loyalty to us cannot be obtained except by means of piety and diligence. He who follows someone should imitate his deeds. You are the Shia of Allah, you are the supporters of Allah, and you are the foremost forerunners, the last forerunners, the foremost to the love for us in this world, and the foremost to win Paradise on the Last Day. I have guaranteed Paradise for you, for the guarantee that is granted by Allah, Powerful and Majestic is He, and the Prophet (s). You are the highborn and your women are the highborn. Each believing female will be woman of Paradise, and each believing male will be veracious. More than once, Amir ul-Mu’minin (a) said to Qanbar, ’Be happy and announce this good news. When the Prophet (s) died, he was discontent with all of the individuals of his umma except the Shia. Everything has a handle. The handle of the religion is the Shia. Everything has its honor. The honor of the religion is the Shia. Everything has a master. The master of the sessions is the sessions of the Shia. Everything has a leader. The leader of this earth is the land on which the Shia live. Everything has desire. The desire of this world is our Shia’ living in it. By Allah I swear, had it not been for your existence on this earth, your dissidents would not have enjoyed the pleasures of their fortunes. Nevertheless, they will not have anything in the world to come. Any Nasibi, no matter how diligently he worships and works, is included in this Verse: "On that day, the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire." (26:2-3) The response of the prayer of your dissidents is yours. Anyone of you who asks one request from Allah will have one hundred requests settled. Anyone of you who asks one question will have one hundred questions answered. Anyone of you who supplicates to Allah once will have the reward of one hundred supplications. Anyone of you who acts one good deed will have it doubled many times. As for anyone of you who commits an evil act, Mohammed (s) will be his advocate. By Allah I swear, the fasting ones among you will luxuriate in the gardens of Paradise and the angles keep on praying for them to win (Paradise) until they break their fasting. You all are surely the people of the advocacy and the loyalty to Allah. You will not have fear and will not be grieved. You all will be in Paradise; hence, compete with each other in doing good acts. After us, no one will be nearer to the Divine Throne of Allah than you will on the Day of Resurrection. Allah’s reward to you will be excellently great. Were it not for that you might fail, suffer your enemies’ gloating over you, and people might not accept it for you, the angels would greet you in groups. Amir ul-Mu’minin (a) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the people of our divine leadership will leave their graves with bight faces and delighted eyes. They will be granted security. While all people will be fearful, they -the Shia- will not be fearful. While all people will be grieved, they will not be grieved. O Mohammed bin al-Hasan bin al-Waleed (r) reported to me this narration after he had related it to al-Hussein bin al-Hasan bin Eban, al-Hussein bin Saeed, Mohammed bin Abi Umair, Ali bin Abi Hamza, and Abu Bassir respectively. Although the contents are nearly the same, this narration includes some paragraphs, which were not in the other one.
