10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Umayyah ibn ‘Amr from al-Shu’ayriy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must extinguish the flame of malice with meat and Tharid (bread in broth).’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنِ الشَّعِيرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
أَطْفِئُوا نَائِرَةَ الضَّغَائِنِ بِاللَّحْمِ وَ الثَّرِيدِ .

15. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from Ziyad al-Qandiy from Durust from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘There is Qunut (supplication after recitation in second Rak‘at) in every Salah (prayer); obligatory or optional.’” (Ahadith 13-15 are best explained in the form of fatwa.)
15ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ زِيَادٍ الْقَنْدِيِّ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
قَالَ الْقُنُوتُ فِي كُلِّ صَلاَةٍ فِي الْفَرِيضَةِ وَالتَّطَوُّعِ.

9. Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Walid from Yunus from Ya’qub who has said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not perform Sajdah (prostration) on gold or on silver.’”
9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لاَ تَسْجُدْ عَلَى الذَّهَبِ وَلاَ عَلَى الْفِضَّةِ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sahl ibn al-Yasa’ from his father who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about the case of a woman who uses dye during her Hayd (menses). He (the Imam) said, ’It is not harmful.”’
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ الْيَسَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَخْتَضِبُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn Mahbub from ibn Ri’ab from ‘Umar ibn Hanzalah who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘He can arrange for a mutual agreement with her for any number of days they want.’”
1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رِئَابٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
يُشَارِطُهَا مَا شَاءَ مِنَ الأيَّامِ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a sheep turns its eyes or moves its tail, it then is clean and properly slaughtered.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام )
أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الشَّاةِ إِذَا طَرَفَتْ عَيْنَهَا أَوْ حَرَّكَتْ ذَنَبَهَا فَهِيَ ذَكِيَّةٌ .

كُلْ مِنَ الطَّيْرِ مَا كَانَتْ لَهُ قَانِصَةٌ أَوْ صِيصِيَةٌ أَوْ حَوْصَلَةٌ .

4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, liked fresh dates with melons.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) يُعْجِبُهُ الرُّطَبُ بِالْخِرْبِزِ .

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hajjal from Tha’labah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Everyone has an enthusiasm and every enthusiasm has a decline. Tuba (a tree in paradise) is for those whose decline is toward a constructive side.’”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) لِكُلِّ أَحَدٍ شِرَّةٌ وَلِكُلِّ شِرَّةٍ فَتْرَةٌ فَطُوبَى لِمَنْ كَانَتْ فَتْرَتُهُ إِلَى خَيْرٍ.

4. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ’Isma‘il ibn Mehran who has said the following
“I wrote to al-Rida (a.s.), and asked him about the limits of the area of the face. He wrote this back to me, ‘It is from the hairline down to the end and (beginning of) both brows.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ
كَتَبْتُ إِلَى الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ حَدِّ الْوَجْهِ فَكَتَبَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الشَّعْرِ إِلَى آخِرِ الْوَجْهِ وَكَذَلِكَ الْجَبِينَيْنِ.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.), has said, ‘One who is certain of (good) consequences, he strives to make it a good gift.’”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) مَنْ صَدَّقَ بِالْخَلَفِ جَادَ بِالْعَطِيَّةِ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The duration of stay to demand al-Kharaj (taxes) from people of al-Kharaj is three days.’”

النُّزُولُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْخَرَاجِ ثَلاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ.

“I once saw Ali ibn al-Husayn, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, wearing a black outer garment and a blue Taylisan (pallium).’”

رَأَيْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ عَلَيْهِ دُرَّاعَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ وَ طَيْلَسَانٌ أَزْرَقُ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad said
“Abu al-Hassan (AS) said regarding the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘They must perform Tawaf around the free House. ’(22:29), he said that the obligatory Tawaf is Tawaf of an-Nisa'.”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ قَالَ طَوَافُ الْفَرِيضَةِ طَوَافُ النِّسَاءِ.

15. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn Mahbub from abu Hamza from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“Whoever controls his anger against people, consequently, Allah will, on the Day of Judgment, hold back the fire from him.”
15ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ كَفَّ غَضَبَهُ عَنِ النَّاسِ كَفَّ الله عَنْهُ عَذَابَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.

7. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad ibn abu Nasr from ibn Bukayr from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of one who suffers from an internal illness because of which is not able to control anal discharge. He (the Imam) said, ‘He continues his Salah (prayer) wherever in Salah (prayer) he is.’”
7ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْمَبْطُونِ فَقَالَ يَبْنِي عَلَى صَلاَتِهِ.

السَّوِيقُ الْجَافُّ يَذْهَبُ بِالْبَيَاضِ .

“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘When you eat [something], then lie down on your back, then place your right leg on your left leg.’”

إِذَا أَكَلْتَ شَيْئاً فَاسْتَلْقِ عَلَى قَفَاكَ وَ ضَعْ رِجْلَكَ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى .

مَنْ صَدَقَ لِسَانُهُ زَكَى عَمَلُهُ.
