Hadith.3947 - Al-Washsha' narrated from Abdullah ibn Sinan, who said
I heard Abu Abdullah (as) say: "It is not proper for a man to lend ghee in exchange for oil, nor oil in exchange for ghee."
3947 - وَ رَوَى اَلْوَشَّاءُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَقُولُ : "لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِلرَّجُلِ إِسْلاَفُ اَلسَّمْنِ بِالزَّيْتِ وَ لاَ اَلزَّيْتِ بِالسَّمْنِ ".

Hadith.3765 - Abdullah ibn Sinan narrated from Abu Abdillah (as) who said
"Muslims are bound by their conditions, except for any condition that contradicts the Book of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Exalted, which is not permissible."
3765 - وَ رَوَى عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
" اَلْمُسْلِمُونَ عِنْدَ شُرُوطِهِمْ إِلاَّ كُلَّ شَرْطٍ خَالَفَ، كِتَابَ اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَلاَ يَجُوزُ ".

15. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘It is not valid for a man to make advance payment in the form of ghee to receive oil and vice versa.’”
15- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لا يَنْبَغِي لِلرَّجُلِ إِسْلافُ السَّمْنِ بِالزَّيْتِ وَلا الزَّيْتِ بِالسَّمْنِ.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “A believer making profit from another believer is like one who is taking usury.”

13. Ahmad ibn Muhammad from has narrated from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Hammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘I dislike two kinds of transactions: To say, “Drop the merchandise and receive payment”, and buying something without seeing it.’”
13- أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
نُبِّئْتُ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ بَيْعَيْنِ اطْرَحْ وَخُذْ عَلَى غَيْرِ تَقْلِيبٍ وَشِرَاءَ مَا لَمْ يُرَ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ibn Muskan from Yazid ibn Farqad who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about Suht (unlawful and filthy). He (the Imam) said, ‘It is accepting a bribe to issue a judgment.’”

Hadith.3840 - It is narrated from Abdullah bin Sinan who said
I asked Abu Abdillah (as) about a child born out of wedlock, can he be sold, purchased, and employed as a servant? Imam (as) said: "Yes." I said: "Can he be married?" Imam (as) said: "Yes, but do not seek her offspring."
3840 - وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنْ وَلَدِ اَلزِّنَا أَ يُبَاعُ وَ يُشْتَرَى وَ يُسْتَخْدَمُ قَالَ "نَعَمْ " قُلْتُ فَيُسْتَنْكَحُ قَالَ "نَعَمْ وَ لاَ تَطْلُبُ وَلَدَهَا ".

Hadith.3958 - Al-Nadr narrated from Abdullah ibn Sinan that Abu Abdullah (as), said regarding merchants who arrived at a land and agreed among themselves not to sell their goods except at a price they desired
"There is no harm in that."
3958 - وَ رَوَى اَلنَّضْرُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ : فِي تُجَّارٍ قَدِمُوا أَرْضاً وَ اِشْتَرَكُوا عَلَى أَنْ لاَ يَبِيعُوا بَيْعَهُمْ إِلاَّ بِمَا أَحَبُّوا قَالَ "لاَ بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ".

hadith 831
Hadith.4045 - Abdullah ibn Sinan asked Abu Abdullah (as) about buying silver that contains mercury and lead with silver coins, knowing that when it is melted, it decreases by two or three dirhams for every ten. Imam (as) said: "It is not permissible, except with gold."
4045 - وَ سَأَلَ عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ سِنَانٍ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : عَنْ شِرَاءِ اَلْفِضَّةِ وَ فِيهَا اَلزِّيبَقُ وَ اَلرَّصَاصُ بِالْوَرِقِ وَ هِيَ إِذَا أُذِيبَتْ نَقَصَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ عَشَرَةٍ دِرْهَمَانِ أَوْ ثَلاَثَةٌ فَقَالَ
"لاَ يَصْلُحُ إِلاَّ بِالذَّهَبِ".

14. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who makes an advance payment for oil to receive ghee. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not valid.’”
14- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَأَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَسْلَفَ رَجُلا زَيْتاً عَلَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْهُ سَمْناً قَالَ لا يَصْلُحُ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu Najran from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Mu‘awiyah ibn Sa‘d who has said the following
“I once asked al-Rida’ (a.s.), about the case of a Christian man who had become a Muslim and he, in his possession, had wine and pigs and he owed debts; if he could sell the wine and pigs to pay off his debts. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, he cannot do so.’”
5- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ نَصْرَانِيٍّ أَسْلَمَ وَعِنْدَهُ خَمْرٌ وَخَنَازِيرُ وَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ هَلْ يَبِيعُ خَمْرَهُ وَخَنَازِيرَهُ فَيَقْضِيَ دَيْنَهُ فَقَالَ لا.

20. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Sinan from Yunus ibn Ya’qub from ‘Abd al-‘A’la’ ibn ‘A‘yan who has said the following
“I was told about abu Ja‘far (a.s.), that he disliked two kinds of transactions: ‘Drop the merchandise without turning its other side and receive payment’, and ‘buying merchandise without seeing’.”
20- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الأعْلَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying that ’Amir al-Mu’minin disliked exchanging of one wasaq (a certain unit of measurement) of dates of Khaybar with two wasaq of dates of al- Madinah because dates of Khaybar are of superior quality.’”
8- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَسْتَبْدِلَ وَسْقاً مِنْ تَمْرِ خَيْبَرَ بِوَسْقَيْنِ مِنْ تَمْرِ الْمَدِينَةِ لأنَّ تَمْرَ خَيْبَرَ أَجْوَدُهُمَا.

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn ‘Ubayd from Yunus ibn ‘Abd af- Rahman from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Al-Shuf’ (one’s rights of pre-emption) is applicable only between two partners who have not concluded the partnership. If they become three then one of them does not have such right.’”
7- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ [عَنْ أَبِيهِ] عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لا تَكُونُ الشُّفْعَةُ إِلا لِشَرِيكَيْنِ مَا لَمْ يُقَاسِمَا فَإِذَا صَارُوا ثَلاثَةً فَلَيْسَ لِوَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ شُفْعَةٌ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from and others from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked, when I was listening, ‘We order a man to buy land, slave, a house or a servant for us and assign a certain amount for him. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّا نَأْمُرُ الرَّجُلَ فَيَشْتَرِي لَنَا الأرْضَ وَالْغُلامَ وَالدَّارَ وَالْخَادِمَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَهُ جُعْلا قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ.

3. Ibn Mahbub has narrated from ibn Sinan who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who buys an animal or a slave and sets condition good for one or two days; then the slave or animal dies or Ahdatha (does something to it). Who then is responsible for this ? 5 He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is on the seller until the time of stipulation of three days expires. Thereafter it belongs to the buyer . 555
3- ابْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَشْتَرِي الدَّابَّةَ أَوِ الْعَبْدَ وَيَشْتَرِطُ إِلَى يَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ فَيَمُوتُ الْعَبْدُ أَوِ الدَّابَّةُ أَوْ يَحْدُثُ فِيهِ حَدَثٌ عَلَى مَنْ ضَمَانُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ عَلَى الْبَائِعِ حَتَّى يَنْقَضِيَ الشَّرْطُ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَيَصِيرَ الْمَبِيعُ لِلْمُشْتَرِي.

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي سَأَلَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رُبَّمَا أَمَرْنَا الرَّجُلَ فَيَشْتَرِي لَنَا الأرْضَ وَالدَّارَ وَالْغُلامَ وَالْجَارِيَةَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَهُ جُعْلا قَالَ لا بَأْسَ.

13. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘In the case of slaves the deal becomes binding after three days. If slaves may have certain defects such as mental condition, leprosy and so on. It becomes binding after one year if the defect is insanity. After one year the choice does not remain of any effect.’”
13- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
عُهْدَةُ الْبَيْعِ فِي الرَّقِيقِ ثَلاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ إِنْ كَانَ بِهَا خَبَلٌ أَوْ بَرَصٌ أَوْ نَحْوُ هَذَا وَعُهْدَتُهُ السَّنَةُ مِنَ الْجُنُونِ فَمَا بَعْدَ السَّنَةِ فَلَيْسَ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ.

7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who owes a certain amount of debts and he is a Mu‘sir (unable to pay). Can I arrange for him to buy something from a man for an appointed time and guarantee in his favor so he can pay his debts (with the item just purchased for him) to me and then pay back what he owes? He (the Imam) said, ‘It is lawful.’”
7- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ لِي عَلَيْهِ مَالٌ وَهُوَ مُعْسِرٌ فَأَشْتَرِي بَيْعاً مِنْ رَجُلٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ عَلَى أَنْ أَضْمَنَ ذَلِكَ عَنْهُ لِلرَّجُلِ وَيَقْضِيَنِي الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ.

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Hudhayfah ibn Mansur from Mu’adh ibn Kathir, Bayya’ al-Akyisah who has said the following
“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘I am thinking to quit doing business in market place while there is a certain amount of wealth in my hands.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Then your opinion becomes of no value and no one will seek help from you.’”
10- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ بَيَّاعِ الأكْسِيَةِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) إِنِّي قَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَدَعَ السُّوقَ وَفِي يَدِي شَيْ‏ءٌ قَالَ إِذاً يَسْقُطَ رَأْيُكَ وَلا يُسْتَعَانَ بِكَ عَلَى شَيْ‏ءٍ.
