God's Prophet (a.s) said: “There are many people who look dirty, with wrinkled hair, and worn-out clothing who go to beg at the doors of houses, but can get whatever they need if they ask God.”
وقال (صلى الله عليه وآله): رب أشعث أغبر ذي طمرين مدقع بالأبواب لو أقسم على الله لأبره.

Al-Hasan b. `Abdullah b. Sa`id b. al-Hasan b. Isma`il b. Hakim al-`Askari narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Muhammad b. `Abd al-Karim narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abd al-Rahman al-Barqi narrated to us. He said: `Amr b. Abi Salama narrated to us. He said: I read it with Abi Umar al-Sanani from al-`Ala' b. `Abd al-Rahman from his father from Abi Hurayra. The Messenger of Allah (s) said
There may be a beggar who is disheveled, dusty, and wearing two tattered garments who is refused at the doors, but [he may be so pious that] if he were to ask something of Allah, He would fulfill it for him.
