“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A woman who has control of her affairs can marry whomever she likes or she can appoint someone as her guardian.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man from Ansar got married in the state of Ihram, and the Messenger of Allah, considered his marriage invalid.’”

"You say the takbir (proclaiming 'Allahu Akbar') and tahleel (proclaiming 'La ilaha illAllah (swt)'). Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, says: 'But if you fear [an enemy], then [pray] on foot or while riding' (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:239)”.

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about withdrawing before semen discharge. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is up to the man’s choice.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of those among men who do not have the sense of carnal desires. He (the Imam) said, ‘They are the dimwitted ones who are owned and do not go near women.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a slave’s looking at the hairs of the mistress. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about a man who breaks his fast in the month of Ramadan intentionally. He (the Imam) said, ‘He is required to give twenty Sa‘ in charity and make Qada’ (compensatory fast) of that fast.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about making Qada’ (compensatory fast) of fast of the month of Ramadan in the month of Dhul al-Hajjah and to discontinue it. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can make its Qada’ (compensatory fast) in Dhul al-Hajjah and discontinue if you like.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about selling gold in exchange for dirham. He (the Imam) said, ‘Send a messenger to receive the price saying, ‘Give that and take this.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who purchases a slave-girl from another man with a stipulation for one or two days and she dies with him and the price is paid. Who is responsible?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘There is no responsibility on the buyer until the time of stipulation expires.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who owes one kur (a certain amount) of food. He then buys one kur of food from another man and asks his creditor to come to receive the Kur of food owed to him. He (the Imam) said, ‘Such a transaction is not harmful.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if it is permissible to exchange one Qafiz (a certain unit of measurement) of wheat for two Qafiz of barley. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is not permissible unless they are of equal quantities.’ He (the Imam) then said, ‘Barley is from wheat.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who buys something which is sold by measure or weight and takes it according to that standard. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a broker who buys for a fee. Notes are given to him with the condition that he brings the merchandise and the buyer accepts whatever he likes and leaves the rest. He then brings the goods and says, ‘Take what you like and leave what you dislike.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is lawful.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the slaves of the taxpayers; if I can buy from them. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can buy them if they certify their slavery.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if a man can marry a Christian woman as a second wife, the first being a Muslim woman or a slave-girl as a second wife, the first being a free woman. He (the Imam) said, ‘He cannot marry anyone of them as a second wife, the first being a Muslim woman. One can marry a Muslim woman as a second wife, the first being a slave-girl or a Christian woman. The Muslim woman will have two-thirds of the time, the slave-girl and the Christian woman one-third of the time.’”

“About the case of a man who marries a woman without assigning any mahr (dower) and goes to bed with her, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘She has a mahr (dower) similar to that for the women of her family.’”

Abu Abdullah (as), said: "Whatever is caught by a snare and has part of it severed, then it is considered dead. However, if you find the rest of its body alive, then perform the proper slaughtering (Zabiha) and eat from it."

Abu Abdillah (as) said: "A woman can be returned (in marriage) for four reasons; leprosy, vitiligo, insanity, and genital defects (imperforation or obstruction), as long as the marriage has not been consummated. However, if consummation has taken place, then she cannot be returned."

He said: "The Prophet (sw) prayed with his companions during the Battle of Dhat al-Riqa'. He divided his companions into two groups: one group faced the enemy, while the other stood behind him (for prayer). He commenced the prayer with them by saying the takbir, and they all said the takbir. He recited, and they listened silently. He bowed, and they bowed. He prostrated, and they prostrated. Then the Messenger of Allah (sw) remained standing while they prayed an additional rak'ah for themselves and then exchanged positions. The first group took their place facing the enemy, and the other group came and stood behind the Messenger of Allah (sw). He then repeated the takbir, and they followed. He recited, and they listened silently. He bowed, and they bowed. He prostrated, and they prostrated. Then the Messenger of Allah (sw) sat for the tashahhud and offered the salutation (ending the prayer). Afterward, this group completed another rak'ah for themselves, and then they exchanged greetings with one another."
