6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Salah (prayer) has four thousand limits (rules).”’ “In another Hadith it is said that in Salah (prayer) there are four thousand doors (chapters).”
6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لِلصَّلاَةِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلاَفِ حَدٍّ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى لِلصَّلاَةِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلاَفِ بَابٍ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The recitation of a speechless person in Talbiyah, Tashahhud and readings from al-Quran in Salah (prayer) is by moving his tongue and pointing with his finger.’”
17ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
تَلْبِيَةُ الأخْرَسِ وَتَشَهُّدُهُ وَقِرَاءَتُهُ لِلْقُرْآنِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ تَحْرِيكُ لِسَانِهِ وَإِشَارَتُهُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Zurara from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘No obedience and worship in the sight of Allah is better than to be a chaste person in matters of (one’s) stomach and genital organs.”
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَا عُبِدَ الله بِشَيْ‏ءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ عِفَّةِ بَطْنٍ وَفَرْجٍ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Acts of Salah (prayer) fall in three categories; They are Tahur (cleansing), Ruku‘ (bowing down on one’s knees), and Sujud (prostration).”’

الصَّلاَةُ ثَلاَثَةُ أَثْلاَثٍ ثُلُثٌ طَهُورٌ وَثُلُثٌ رُكُوعٌ وَثُلُثٌ سُجُودٌ.

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
الصُّبْحُ هُوَ الَّذِي إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُ مُعْتَرِضاً كَأَنَّهُ بَيَاضُ سُورَى.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Whatever (words) with which you speak to Allah in Salah (prayer) is not harmful.’” (Ahadith 4-5 of this Chapter are best explained by fatwas.)

كُلُّ مَا كَلَّمْتَ الله بِهِ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَرِيضَةِ فَلاَ بَأْسَ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman who performs Salah (prayer) on the side of the man nearby. He (the Imam) said, ‘
If there is a distance of one Rahl (yard), it is not harmful.
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي الْمَرْأَةِ تُصَلِّي إِلَى جَنْبِ الرَّجُلِ قَرِيباً مِنْهُ فَقَالَ
إِذَا كَانَ بَيْنَهُمَا مَوْضِعُ رَحْلٍ فَلاَ بَأْسَ.

15. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Yahya ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Khaqan who has said the following
“I saw abu al-Hassan, the third doing sajdah for Shukr (thanksgiving), his arms spread on the ground and his chest and belly placed on the ground. I asked him about it and he said, ‘This is what we like.’”
15ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ خَاقَانَ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الثَّالِثَ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) سَجَدَ سَجْدَةَ الشُّكْرِ فَافْتَرَشَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ فَأَلْصَقَ جُؤْجُؤَهُ وَبَطْنَهُ بِالأرْضِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ كَذَا نُحِبُّ.

6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ وَابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لاَ يُكْتَبُ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ وَالدُّعَاءِ إِلاَّ مَا أَسْمَعَ نَفْسَهُ.

“I saw abu al-Hassan (a.s.), doing sajdah for after Salah (prayer), his arms spread on the ground and his chest and belly placed on the ground when praying.”
14ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) وَقَدْ سَجَدَ بَعْدَ الصَّلاَةِ فَبَسَطَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ عَلَى الأرْضِ وَأَلْصَقَ جُؤْجُؤَهُ بِالأرْضِ فِي دُعَائِهِ.

11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from those who m he has mentioned who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who remains sleeping during the time of al-‘Atmah and does not wake up until after midnight. He (the Imam) said, ‘He performs that Salah (prayer) and remains fasting until the morning.’”
11ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام)
فِي رَجُلٍ نَامَ عَنِ الْعَتَمَةِ فَلَمْ يَقُمْ إِلاَّ بَعْدَ انْتِصَافِ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ يُصَلِّيهَا وَيُصْبِحُ صَائِماً.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The number of Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) in all five obligatory Salah (prayer) is ninety-five of which are Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) during five Qunut.’”
5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
التَّكْبِيرُ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَرْضِ الْخَمْسِ الصَّلَوَاتِ خَمْسٌ وَتِسْعُونَ تَكْبِيرَةً مِنْهَا تَكْبِيرَاتُ الْقُنُوتِ خَمْسَةٌ.

11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub in a marfu’ the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘
Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, has made Jihad obligatory, considered it great and has made it His victory (support) and supporter. By Allah, the worldly affairs as well as religious affairs are never enhanced without Jihad.”
11- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَرَضَ الْجِهَادَ وَعَظَّمَهُ وَجَعَلَهُ نَصْرَهُ وَنَاصِرَهُ وَاللهِ مَا صَلَحَتْ دُنْيَا وَلا دِينٌ إِلا بِهِ.

14. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub from Jamil ibn Darraj from certain persons of his people who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘Whoever of the believers preserves his obligatory Salah (prayers) and performs them in time, he is not of the neglectful people.’”
14ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
أَيُّمَا مُؤْمِنٍ حَافَظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمَفْرُوضَةِ فَصَلاَّهَا لِوَقْتِهَا فَلَيْسَ هَذَا مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most High, has said, “O My truthful servants, enjoy the blessings of worshipping Me in this world; you will enjoy its benefits in the next life.’””

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَا عِبَادِيَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ تَنَعَّمُوا بِعِبَادَتِي فِي الدُّنْيَا فَإِنَّكُمْ تَتَنَعَّمُونَ بِهَا فِي الآخِرَةِ.

لا تُكَرِّهُوا إِلَى أَنْفُسِكُمُ الْعِبَادَةَ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that whoever performs five hundred Rak‘at optional Salah (prayer) from one Friday to the next Friday, he can ask Allah whatever he wants except a wish for unlawful matters.”
7ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ تَنَفَّلَ مَا بَيْنَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ خَمْسَمِائَةِ رَكْعَةٍ فَلَهُ عِنْدَ الله مَا شَاءَ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَمَنَّى مُحَرَّماً.

11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtari from Abu Abdillah (a.s), who has said the following
“Whoever Allah accepts even a single prayer from, He will not punish them, and whoever Allah accepts even one good deed from, He will not punish them.”
11ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ قَبِلَ الله مِنْهُ صَلاَةً وَاحِدَةً لَمْ يُعَذِّبْهُ وَمَنْ قَبِلَ مِنْهُ حَسَنَةً لَمْ يُعَذِّبْهُ.

18. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Ali ibn Muhammad al-Qasaniy from Sulayman ibn Hafs al-Marwaziy who has said the following
“I wrote to abu al-Hassan Musa ibn Ja‘far (a.s.), about prostration for thanksgiving. He wrote back to me. ‘It is one hundred times ‘Shukran’ (O Lord, I thank You), or if you like, say “Afwan’ (O Lord, I beg forgiveness from You) one hundred times.’”
18ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَاسَانِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ الْمَرْوَزِيِّ قَالَ
كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي سَجْدَةِ الشُّكْرِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ شُكْراً شُكْراً وَإِنْ شِئْتَ عَفْواً عَفْواً.
