12. Afi ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘ Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who applies lime, then mixes flour with oil then rubs it on him after lime to remove its smell. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن ابن أبي عمير، عن عبدالرحمن بن الحجاج قال
سألت أبا عبدالله عليه السلام عن الرجل يطلي بالنورة فيجعل له الدقيق بالزيت يلت به فيمسح به بعد النورة ليقطع ريحها عنه، قال: لا بأس.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from Hariz who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not proper to bring arms inside the sacred area unless it is kept inside a bag or covered out of sight by wrapping something over the iron. ‘“
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
لا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْحَرَمَ بِسِلاحٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ فِي جُوَالِقَ أَوْ يُغَيِّبَهُ يَعْنِي يَلُفُّ عَلَى الْحَدِيدِ شَيْئاً.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir who has said the following
“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘Allah has undertaken the responsibility toward those who perform Hajj or ‘Umrah to join them with their families if He decides to keep them living, or admit them in paradise if He decides to cause them to die.’”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ ضَمَانُ الْحَاجِّ وَالْمُعْتَمِرِ عَلَى الله إِنْ أَبْقَاهُ بَلَّغَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَإِنْ أَمَاتَهُ أَدْخَلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Is there anything before or after al-‘Isha’ al- Akhirah?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No, except that I perform two Rak‘at thereafter and I do not count it as part of nightly Salah (prayer).’”
6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) هَلْ قَبْلَ الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ وَبَعْدَهَا شَيْ‏ءٌ قَالَ لاَ غَيْرَ أَنِّي أُصَلِّي بَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَلَسْتُ أَحْسُبُهُمَا مِنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Rifa’ah ibn Musa who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man whose wealth remains lost for five years. He then finds it and does not reject the capital. How much Zakat is he required to pay? He (the Imam) said, ‘He pays one year’s Zakat only.’”
2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَغِيبُ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ خَمْسَ سِنِينَ ثُمَّ يَأْتِيهِ فَلاَ يُرَدُّ رَأْسُ الْمَالِ كَمْ يُزَكِّيهِ قَالَ سَنَةً وَاحِدَةً.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ’Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Zakat is not due on the asset of slaves even if it amounts to a million; but they cannot receive Zakat if they become needy.”’
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لَيْسَ فِي مَالِ الْمَمْلُوكِ شَيْ‏ءٌ وَلَوْ كَانَ لَهُ أَلْفُ أَلْفٍ وَلَوِ احْتَاجَ لَمْ يُعْطَ مِنَ الزَّكَاةِ شَيْئاً.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father, from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Whenever a man gives charity of the best quality, Allah replaces it for him with children in the same way (of best quality children) after his passing away.” The Imam has also said, ‘Giving charity of best quality pays off debts and leaves behind blessings.’”
5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
مَا أَحْسَنَ عَبْدٌ الصَّدَقَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ أَحْسَنَ الله الْخِلافَةَ عَلَى وُلْدِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَقَالَ حُسْنُ الصَّدَقَةِ يَقْضِي الدَّيْنَ وَيَخْلُفُ عَلَى الْبَرَكَةِ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Um ay r from Hisham ibn Salim who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, married Maymunah, daughter of al-Harith, he served food to people and it was mashed dates with the stones removed, with ghee.’”
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) حِينَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ أَوْلَمَ عَلَيْهَا وَأَطْعَمَ النَّاسَ الْحَيْسَ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from and Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad all from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Witness and testimony (for marriage) is only for the sake of children and inheritance.’ In another Hadith it is said, ‘and it is for the sake of criminal issues.’”
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّمَا جُعِلَتِ الْبَيِّنَاتُ لِلنَّسَبِ وَالْمَوَارِيثِ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى وَالْحُدُودِ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A divorced woman must not go out without the permission of her husband until her waiting period is complete after three Hayd (menses)-free periods or three months, if she does not experience Hayd (menses).’”

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah from ‘Adhafir al-Sayrafiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), asked, ‘Do you see those who are born with deformities?’ I replied, ‘Yes, I see them.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is because their fathers go to bed with their wives during their experiencing Hayd (menses).”’
5- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ عُذَافِرٍ الصَّيْرَفِيِّ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) تَرَى هَؤُلاءِ الْمُشَوَّهِينَ خَلْقُهُمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ آبَاؤُهُمْ يَأْتُونَ نِسَاءَهُمْ فِي الطَّمْثِ.

“I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) what kind of people are those who restrain from worldly matters? The Imam said, ‘They are those who stay away from what Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has made unlawful.’”
8ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِنْقَرِيِّ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الْوَرِعِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ الَّذِي يَتَوَرَّعُ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

10. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz ibn ‘Abd Allah from Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘Kindred relation will hold to the Throne (of the Lord) on the Day of Judgment and say, “O Lord, establish good relations with those who establish me and cut off good relations with those who cut me off.’”
10ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) إِنَّ الرَّحِمَ مُعَلَّقَةٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِالْعَرْشِ تَقُولُ اللهمَّ صِلْ مَنْ وَصَلَنِي وَاقْطَعْ مَنْ قَطَعَنِي.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about one’s sitting in Masjid after experiencing sexual relation. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is not permissible but one can pass through all kinds of Masjid except Masjid al-Haram and Masjid of the Messenger of Allah.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْجُنُبِ يَجْلِسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ قَالَ لاَ وَلَكِنْ يَمُرُّ فِيهَا كُلِّهَا إِلاَّ الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ وَمَسْجِدَ الرَّسُولِ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه).

84. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Jawhari from certain persons of his people from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the words of Allah. “They ask you, “Is that true?”(The Imam (a.s.) said
“It means what do you say about Ali (a.s.)?” Tell them, “It certainly is true. I swear by my Lord. You can not escape from God’s (retribution).” (10:53)
84ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِهِ وَيَسْتَنْبِئُونَكَ أَ حَقٌّ هُوَ قَالَ
مَا تَقُولُ فِي عَلِيٍّ قُلْ إِي وَرَبِّي إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ وَما أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ.

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Among the signs of wickedness is piercing eyes (devoid of bashfulness), hardheartedness, intense greed for worldly gains and persistence in sins.’”
6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مِنْ عَلامَاتِ الشَّقَاءِ جُمُودُ الْعَيْنِ وَقَسْوَةُ الْقَلْبِ وَشِدَّةُ الْحِرْصِ فِي طَلَبِ الدُّنْيَا وَالإصْرَارُ عَلَى الذَّنْبِ.

“Of the people who, on the Day of Judgment, will regret the most is one who preaches justice but himself does not yield to justice.”
3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ النَّاسِ حَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ وَصَفَ عَدْلاً ثُمَّ خَالَفَهُ إِلَى غَيْرِهِ.

الرِّزْقُ أَسْرَعُ إِلَى مَنْ يُطْعِمُ الطَّعَامَ مِنَ السِّكِّينِ فِي السَّنَامِ.

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى وَابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
يُجْزِئُ فِي الْمُتْعَةِ شَاةٌ.

“Al-Tayyar once said to him (the Imam) (a.s.), when I also was present, ‘This thing which is added, is it of Masjid? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is of Masjid, they still have not reached Masjid of Ibrahim and ‘Isma‘il, May Allah grant both of them favors.’”
8ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ قَالَ
قَالَ لَهُ الطَّيَّارُ وَأَنَا حَاضِرٌ هَذَا الَّذِي زِيدَ هُوَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ إِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا بَعْدُ مَسْجِدَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه).
