حمران

Hadith.2561 - Humran ibn A'yan asked Imam (as) about a person who says, "Release me where You have restrained me." Imam (as) said: "He is released where Allah (swt), the Almighty, has restrained him, whether he says it or does not say it."

Hadith.3034 - In a narration by Zurara from Humran, from Abu Ja'far (as): "The tafath refers to a man's avoidance of perfumes. Once he has completed his rites, perfume becomes permissible for him."

"My father (as) when he prayed while sitting, he would sit cross-legged, and when he went into ruku' (bowing), he would fold his legs."

"Free so-and-so, and so-and-so, and so-and-so," until he mentioned five individuals. When his estate was assessed, it was found that one-third of his wealth was not enough to cover the value of the five slaves he had ordered to be freed. Imam (as) said: "The individuals he named should be evaluated according to their order of mention, starting with the first. They should be valued, and their emancipation should proceed from the first he mentioned, then the second, the third, the fourth, and finally the fifth. If the one-third of the estate runs out before reaching the last, then the last named does not get freed because the man ordered their emancipation beyond the limit of what he lawfully owned, and thus it is not permissible."

"Ẓihar (a form of divorce by comparison) does not occur through an oath, nor in a case of harm, nor in a state of anger. Ẓihar is only valid when it is declared during a state of purity (from menstruation), without prior intercourse, and in the presence of two Muslim witnesses."

"Tafath refers to a person's grooming, including the use of perfume. Once he has completed his rituals, perfume becomes permissible for him."

Abu Abdillah (as) was asked about a man who married a young bondwoman who was a virgin and had not yet reached maturity. When he consummated the marriage, he deflowered her and caused her to lose her virginity completely. Imam (as) said: "If he consummated the marriage with her when she was nine years old, then there is no liability upon him. However, if she had not yet reached nine years of age, or was slightly younger than that at the time he consummated the marriage and deflowered her, then he has caused her harm and rendered her unfit for other marriages. In such a case, it is upon the Imam to impose upon him the payment of her full dowry. But if he keeps her and does not divorce her until she dies, then there is no liability upon him."

"Where are you regarding the simple and innocent women, those who know nothing?" I said: "But people say that humanity is divided into two types: believer and disbeliever." Imam (as) replied: "Then where are those about whom Allah (swt) said: 'They mixed a righteous deed with another that was evil.' (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:102) and where are those who are 'deferred until Allah's (swt) command,' (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:106), awaiting for Allah's (swt) pardon?"

"He should perform ghusl, then return to the Kaaba to complete the remaining rounds of his tawaf. He should seek forgiveness from his Lord (azj) and not repeat this action."

I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a man who said to his female slave, "You are to me as the back of my mother," intending by this statement to please his wife. Imam (as) replied: "He may approach her (the slave), and there is nothing upon her or upon him."

I asked Imam (as) about Al-sukna (residential right) and Al-umra (life estate). Imam (as) replied: "People are bound by their conditions. If he stipulated it for his lifetime, then it is for his lifetime. If he stipulated it for his descendants, then it is for his descendants as stipulated until they perish, after which it returns to the owner of the house."
