جميل بن دراج

Hadith.4734 - Jameel ibn Darraj asked Abu Abdullah (as) about the children of the prophets (peace be upon them). Imam (as) replied: "They are not like the children of ordinary people."

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Divorce of a pregnant woman is one and when she gives birth she become stranger to him.’”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Divorce of a pregnant woman is one and when she gives birth to what is inside her, she becomes stranger to him.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a child if he can testify in the case of murder. He (the Imam) said, ‘His first words are accepted but his second words are not accepted.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You should hasten (take the initiative) to teach Hadith to your children before al-Murji’ah (name of a sect) takes control over their mind and belief.’”

“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘A man is not compelled, but for providing the expenses of his parents and children.’ He (the narrator) has said that Ibn Abi ‘Umayr has said, ‘I asked Jamil about the woman and he said that ‘Anbasah has narrated from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), who has said that if one provides clothes for her which is sufficient to maintain her dignity, sufficient food to survive, she then must stay with him, otherwise, she is divorced.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ’If a boy’s scrotum is relaxed, his penis is small, his eyes are relaxed; then there is hope for goodness to come from him, as well as hope in safety from his evil. On the other hand if a boy whose scrotum is hard, his penis is large and has piercing eyes, he then is one in whose goodness there is no hope nor safety from his evil.’”

I asked Abu `Abd Allah al-Sadiq (AS) about the children of the Prophets (AS). He replied, “They are not like the children of other people.” The reporter sys: I asked him about Ibrahim, son of the Messenger of Allah (SA), that had he lived, would he have become a truthful one [siddiq]? He (AS) answered, “If he had lived, he would have followed in the footsteps of his father (SA).”

"She is lawful for him." I asked: "What if she gives birth to a child? What should be done with the child?" Imam (as) said: "The child belongs to the owner of the bondwoman unless he stipulated at the time he permitted her that if she gives birth to a child from him, then the child is free. If he made such a condition, then the child is free." I asked: "Can he own his child?" Imam (as) said: "If he has wealth, he can purchase the child at its value."

Abu Abdillah (as) about a man who married a bondwoman, and she gave birth to a child. Imam (as) said: "The child is attributed to his father." I asked: "What about a slave who marries a free woman?" Imam (as) said: "The child is attributed to his mother."
