4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from Jamil that
he heard Abu 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) say: "People become of three groups: Scholars, students [of knowledge] and scum. We are the scholars, our Shi'a are the students and the rest of the people are scum."
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ جَمِيلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ يَغْدُو النَّاسُ عَلَى ثَلاثَةِ أَصْنَافٍ عَالِمٍ وَمُتَعَلِّمٍ وَغُثَاءٍ فَنَحْنُ الْعُلَمَاءُ وَشِيعَتُنَا الْمُتَعَلِّمُونَ وَسَائِرُ النَّاسِ غُثَاءٌ.

Hadith.5738 - Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Bazi' narrated from Mansur ibn Yunus Buzurj from Jameel ibn Darraj who said
I heard Abu Abdullah (as) say: "A free person and a slave do not inherit from one another."
5738 - وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ يُونُسَ بُزُرْجَ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَقُولُ : "لاَ يَتَوَارَثُ اَلْحُرُّ وَ اَلْمَمْلُوكُ".

1-27 Muhammad ibn Ali Majiluyih - may God be pleased with him - narrated that his uncle Muhammad ibn Abil-Qasim quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Aba Abdullah al-Barqy, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali al-Kufy, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sin’an, on the authority of Umar ibn Abdul-Aziz, on the authority of Jamil ibn Dur’raj that Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) said, “
God has not tested the servants with anything harder than giving money.”

8. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah, from abu Sulayman, from Ahmad ibn al-Hassan al- Jabaliy (al-Halabiy), from his father, from Jamil ibn Darraj who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘If one does not take dinner one Saturday and Sunday nights consecutively, his strength will go away and will not come back until forty days later.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْجَبَلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ مَنْ تَرَكَ الْعَشَاءَ لَيْلَةَ السَّبْتِ وَ لَيْلَةَ الْأَحَدِ مُتَوَالِيَتَيْنِ ذَهَبَتْ عَنْهُ قُوَّتُهُ فَلَمْ تَرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً .

hadith 118
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Aban and Jamil from Zurarah who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), once demonstrated for us how the Messenger of Allah would take Wudu. He asked for a glass of water. He (the Imam) then with some water in the palm of his hand allowed it to flow down his face and wiped both sides of his face. He (the Imam) then with some water in the palm of his left hand allowed it to flow down his right hand and then wiped both sides. He (the Imam) with some water in the palm of his right hand allowed it to flow over his left and did as he had done to his right hand. Thereafter he, with whatever was left on his hand, wiped his head and feet but he did not place his hands in the water container (again).”
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ وَجَمِيلٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ
حَكَى لَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَدَعَا بِقَدَحٍ فَأَخَذَ كَفّاً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَسْدَلَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ ثُمَّ مَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ مِنَ الْجَانِبَيْنِ جَمِيعاً ثُمَّ أَعَادَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى فِي الإِنَاءِ فَأَسْدَلَهَا عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى ثُمَّ مَسَحَ جَوَانِبَهَا ثُمَّ أَعَادَ الْيُمْنَى فِي الإِنَاءِ فَصَبَّهَا عَلَى الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ صَنَعَ بِهَا كَمَا صَنَعَ بِالْيُمْنَى ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِمَا بَقِيَ فِي يَدِهِ رَأْسَهُ وَرِجْلَيْهِ وَلَمْ يُعِدْهُمَا فِي الإِنَاءِ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from Yunus ibn Dhibyan and Hafs ibn Ghiyath who has said the following
“Once we asked Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘We pray to Allah to keep our souls in service for your cause, is it undesirable to write on one’s ring something other than one’s name and the name of one’s father?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘The writing on my ring says, ‘Allah is the Creator of all things’. On the ring of my father, Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s.), who was the best Muhammadi, I saw with my own eyes, the writing said, ‘All glory belongs to Allah. ’ On the ring of Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.), the writing said, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, the most High, the most Great.’ On the ring of al-Hassan and al-Husayn (a.s.) the writing said, ‘Allah is sufficient for me.’ On the ring of ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), the writing said, ‘Allah is the owner’.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ ظَبْيَانَ وَ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَا
قُلْنَا جُعِلْنَا فِدَاكَ أَ يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ الرَّجُلُ فِي خَاتَمِهِ غَيْرَ اسْمِهِ وَ اسْمِ أَبِيهِ فَقَالَ فِي خَاتَمِي مَكْتُوبٌ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ أَبِي مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ( عليه السلام ) وَ كَانَ خَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِيٍّ رَأَيْتُهُ بِعَيْنِي الْعِزَّةُ لِلَّهِ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَ فِي خَاتَمِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ .

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from all from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from Zakariya ibn Yahya al-Shu‘ayriy from al-Hakam ibn ‘Utaybah who has narrated the following
“Once we were with abu Ja‘far (a.s.). We were in a group waiting for him (the Imam) to come out. A woman came and asked, ‘Which one of you is abu Ja‘far?’ The people asked, ‘What for are you asking for him?’ She replied, ‘I want to ask him about an issue.’ They said, ‘This is the jurist of the people of Iraq. You can ask him your question.’ She said, ‘My husband has died and has left one thousand dirham as legacy. He owed me five hundred dirham as my mahr (dower) and my share of inheritance which I took from the legacy; but then a man came and said my husband owed him one thousand dirham and I testified in his favor.’ Al-Hakam has said, ‘I was counting it that abu Ja‘far (a.s.), came out and said, “Why is it that I see you move your fingers, O Hakam?” I replied, “This woman has mentioned that her husband has died. He has left one thousand dirham as legacy. He owed to her five hundred dirham as her dower. She took her dower and the share of her inheritance, but then a man came and said that her husband owed him one thousand dirham and she testified in his favor.’” Hakam has said, ‘By Allah I had not completed my words that he (the Imam) said, “She has confessed to give back one-third of what she has in her hand and she does not have anything as her share of inheritance.’” Hakam has said, ‘I had never seen, by Allah, anyone more intelligent than abu Ja‘far (a.s.).”’
3- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ يَحْيَى الشَّعِيرِيِّ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ
كُنَّا عَلَى بَابِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَنَحْنُ جَمَاعَةٌ نَنْتَظِرُ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِذْ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ أَيُّكُمْ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ فَقَالَ لَهَا الْقَوْمُ مَا تُرِيدِينَ مِنْهُ قَالَتْ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ مَسْأَلَةٍ فَقَالُوا لَهَا هَذَا فَقِيهُ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ فَسَلِيهِ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ زَوْجِي مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ وَكَانَ لِي عَلَيْهِ مِنْ صَدَاقِي خَمْسُمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ فَأَخَذْتُ صَدَاقِي وَأَخَذْتُ مِيرَاثِي ثُمَّ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَادَّعَى عَلَيْهِ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ فَشَهِدْتُ لَهُ قَالَ الْحَكَمُ فَبَيْنَا أَنَا أَحْسُبُ إِذْ خَرَجَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي أَرَاكَ تُحَرِّكُ بِهِ أَصَابِعَكَ يَا حَكَمُ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْمَرْأَةَ ذَكَرَتْ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ وَكَانَ لَهَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ صَدَاقِهَا خَمْسُمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ فَأَخَذَتْ صَدَاقَهَا وَأَخَذَتْ مِيرَاثَهَا ثُمَّ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَادَّعَى عَلَيْهِ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ فَشَهِدَتْ لَهُ فَقَالَ الْحَكَمُ فَوَ اللهِ مَا أَتْمَمْتُ الْكَلامَ حَتَّى قَالَ أَقَرَّتْ بِثُلُثِ مَا فِي يَدَيْهَا وَلا مِيرَاثَ لَهَا قَالَ الْحَكَمُ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ وَاللهِ أَفْهَمَ مِنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَطُّ. قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ وَتَفْسِيرُ ذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ لا مِيرَاثَ لَهَا حَتَّى تَقْضِيَ الدَّيْنَ وَإِنَّمَا تَرَكَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ وَعَلَيْهِ مِنَ الدَّيْنِ أَلْفٌ وَخَمْسُمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ لَهَا وَلِلرَّجُلِ فَلَهَا ثُلُثُ الألْفِ وَلِلرَّجُلِ ثُلُثَاهَا.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from ’Isma‘il ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Ju‘fiy who has narrated the following
“About the case of a woman who leaves behind her husband and both parents, abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The share of the husband is one-half, the share of mother is one-third and the remaining belongs to the father.’”
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُعْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ قَالَ
لِلزَّوْجِ النِّصْفُ وَلِلأمِّ الثُّلُثُ وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلأبِ.

10. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman and Jamil ibn Darraj from ’Isma‘il ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Ju‘fiy who has narrated the following
“I once heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), saying, ‘The grandfather distributes the legacy with brothers in equal shares, no matter whatever the number of brothers is.’”
10- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَجَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُعْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ الْجَدُّ يُقَاسِمُ الإخْوَةَ مَا بَلَغُوا وَإِنْ كَانُوا مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ.
