جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “Do not deceive others since you will then be left without any friends.”

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “If a rich believer humiliates his believing brother while he can help him, God will humiliate him in this world and the Hereafter.”

Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: “Whoever associates with his believing brother just because he needs something, and does not really wish him well is similar to one who is treacherous to God and His Prophet.”

Any believer who goes with his brother for a need to help him and does not counsel him correctly has been disloyal to Allah and His Messenger.

If any believer asks a fellow believer for help but the other refuses though he is able to do, Allah will impose a serpent in his grave biting his fingers.

Any believer that disappoints his brother while he is able to help him, Allah will desert him in the world and the hereafter.

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘One who makes evil plans against a Muslim is not from us.’”

"Any man who goes to another man and borrows money from him while intending not to repay it, then he is a thief and a transgressor."

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘On the Day of Judgment all the treacherous people will come with a leader, his mouth badly deformed, and end up in the fire. All those breaking out allegiance of the Imam also will come with their hand cut off and end up in the fire.’”

Do not anger others, or else you will be angered; and do not dig a hole for your brother, or else you will fall in it. Surely, you will reap what you sow.

“This is death. Walk past it.” They walked past it, except for three. Two of them told the third one to go to a nearby town and buy them some food since they were hungry. Once he left, one of the two who had stayed told the other one that they would each get more share if it were divided only between the two of them. The man who went to a nearby town to buy food told himself that it would be much better if he could get all that wealth for himself. So he bought some poison, and poisoned the food he bought for the other two. Once they saw him when he returned, they both jumped on him and killed him. Then they ate the food, and both died when they digested it. Jesus (a.s) once again passed by that place and saw that they were dead and that wealth was on the ground. He said: “Did I not tell you that this is death and you should pass by it!”

"Four things are not permissible in four situations: treachery, embezzlement, theft, and usury. They are not permissible in Hajj, Umrah, Jihad, or charity."

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘On the Day of Judgment all the treacherous people will come with an Imam whose mouth will be badly deformed and end up in the fire.’”

“Do not be deceitful with people, since you will lose all your friends. “

“Any believer who does not make an effort to help fulfill his religious brother's needs and does not advise him has committed treason against God and His Prophet.”

“A believer will never deceive his fellow believing brothers, nor oppress them, be treacherous with them, humiliate, gossip about, or grumble at his believing brothers. He will never say his believing brother is lying. Should he ever grumble, their friendship will be ruined. Should he accuse him in any way he will lose his faith in just the same manner that salt gets dissolved in water. The reward of fully feeding two believers is more than freeing a slave for God's sake.”

“Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘There are two towns of the people in the state of war against the Muslims. Each town has a king. They had a war and then made peace. Thereafter one king acted treacherously against the other king, came to the Muslims and made peace to help him against the other town.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) said, ‘It is not worthy of the Muslims to act treacherously or command people to act treacherously or fight along side the treacherous people. However, they fight the pagans wherever they find them. The covenant of the unbelievers is not effective.’”
